Patch 1.01 for Warhammer Online Today
By wardojo / October 2nd, 2008 /The servers are offline this morning for patch 1.01. Expected downtime is four hours and runs from 8:00am until 12:00pm EDT.
Here’s a taste of what patch updates are being installed today in italics:
Patch 1.01:
“Players no longer need to scroll down through the EUALA when logging into the game. The window now defaults to the bottom, and players need only check the Agreement box and click accept.”
Not a huge deal, but it was fairly annoying to be sure.
“The war against the gold sellers continues! We have made improvements to the Appeal system to allow players to report spam messages from gold sellers more quickly.”
This is a cool one. Now we can report gold sellers even quicker. Remember gold sellers, send your tells to Bane on the Red Eye Mountain server. I’ll be happy to assist in getting you banned.
“The /ignore command will now work more consistently.”
I’m looking in your direction again gold sellers! This means you player “Fafafahaf”. You only get to send me a /tell once from now on, then I can report you and now /ignore you too!
“Guild cloaks will now display their heraldry properly.”
Very cool.
Dungeon Updates:
“We have identified a couple of serious bugs that trivialize the content in the Lost Vale dungeon. We have disabled the dungeon entrance while we investigate these issues. Thank you for your understanding as we work to improve your in game experience!”
“The Gunbad instance lockouts will now be 30 minutes instead of 24 hours.”
Career Updates
The only career change was to the White Lion pounce ability.
“Fixed an issue that was allowing players to use the “Pounce” ability without an enemy target. The ability now requires an enemy target to jump towards.”
This should help a lot in the Tor Anroc scenario since the pounce ability will no longer allow you to always be the first to the flag as a White Lion with a Standard Bearer buddy running behind you.
Maybe now Order will decide to play a few of the other scenarios rather then just Tor Anroc. I don’t blame anyone for it, if I had an ability that allowed me to be first to the flag every game I’d be using it too. But now that that’s over there is no need for Order to just queue up for only one scenario. It’s time to diversify Order, let’s see you queue for something new.
There is more to read, go check it all out at the Herald.
