Live Event: Heavy Metal Tome Of Knowledge Contest

The next live event we’ll see in WAR is titled “Heavy Metal” and is a contest to see who can spend more time in game then anyone else from November 17th to December 1st. If you can log in every single day during the event and complete the daily influence then you can win the opportunity to play either the Black Guard or Knight of the Blazing Sun a week before everyone else.
I guess we’ll see how much time it takes each day to have a shot at this since Thanksgiving vacation is right in the middle of the event:
“When the Heavy Metal live event begins on November 17th, players who log into WAR will see a new tab in the Tome of Knowledge. Clicking on this tab will open the Live Events page, where each day we’ll place a new daily task.
Completing these daily tasks earns influence, just like you’d earn in a public quest. There are rewards for Basic, Advanced and Elite influence, culminating in the ultimate prize: the chance to play WAR’s new classes a full week before they’re released to the public!
This last reward won’t be easy to earn, and players who want to get to the Elite level will need to log in each day and complete on the daily event.”
So on the 17th we’ll have a much better idea if this is something you could do on the laptop quickly on vacation or something we’ll need to really grind out if you want a shot at winning.
There will also be a new Tier 4 scenario called Reikland Factory that will be available to all levels and will grant everyone in the game a 10% bonus to Renown. Pretty cool I guess, but I wish they’d work on more ways to get people into the RvR zones and less time getting everyone into scenarios.
